The Summit Counseling Center began in 2005 through the vision of Drs. Bill Owens and Jim Price to serve members of the congregation as well as an outreach ministry to the community.
Summit is comprised of professionally trained individuals embracing Christ and and His worldview, certified and licensed through professional organizations in compliance with state requirements.
Summit provides professional, affordable Christian counseling services as well as enrichment and educational opportunities to the community. Each year we serve area children, adolescents, couples and families through the provision of individual and group counseling sessions in efforts to break down barriers to spiritual and emotional health.
We are blessed to be a ministry of Ridgedale Baptist Church, through whose generous operational support we are able to offer a sliding scale to make counseling more affordable to individuals and families who may not have the means to pay. In fact, last year 48% of our caseload was offered at reduced rates. We also rely on area church support, client fees, donations and the generosity of others in supporting this vital ministry.
Rates:
$85 Standard Fee with Licensed Professional Counselor
$100 Standard Fee with Doctoral Level Counselor
$65 Post Graduate pursuant of Licensure
$50 Pastoral Referral (whose church pays all or portion of the fee)
$25 Intern
*Some of our counselors accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United HealthCare and Cigna. Please check with our office support staff for a list of counselors who accept insurance.
Also, please call the number on your insurance card to find out:
-if your policy provides benefits for outpatient behavioral health services and
-if there are restrictions or non-covered charges(such as marriage counseling, sex therapy, etc.).
*Should you have insurance with a company other than the ones named above, you may call the number on your card to find out if your policy offers out of network benefits. If so, we will gladly provide you with the paperwork necessary for you to file with your company on your own.
