How does it work? Area ministers can refer their members to Summit at a reduced rate with a letter from the church. The individual can pay the reduced rate or the referring church may choose to subsidize a portion or pay all of the discounted rate on their behalf.
How does it help my church and its members?
It is part of our mission to provide Christian counseling services to area churches.
By directing members to counselors who value God's word, the gospel of Christ is made the centerpiece of each counseling relationship. We believe that this strategic partnership helps promote healing and generational changes not only within individuals, but within families, thereby strengthening church families. We also believe that emotionally healthy people undergird the Church by loving God, their neighbors and themselves in more meaningful and effective ways. And through the provision of educational seminars by Summit counselors, the emphasis is upon God's word and upon prevention.
Practically speaking, by referring to Summit pastors are allowed more free time for other responsibilities and supported by our counselors to manage sensitive personal disclosures that sometimes make the primary pastoral relationship challenging.
