How does it work?  When an area minister refers one of their members to Summit -by way of a phone call, letter or email - with the intent of his church helping that member financially with the counseling fee, a reduced rate of $50.00 is offered to the church out of professional courtesy.  Such referrals are viewed by Summit as a partnership - a joint effort for a common cause.  Sometimes the church offers to pay the full fee or a portion of the fee for a predetermined number of sessions- whether that be one time or for several.  Once the church has completed the predetermined financial involvement, the courtesy rate is extended to the individual if he or she wishes to continue in counseling with Summit. If the individual has insurance and the counselor he or she is seeing takes his or her insurance, we will be glad to work with the individual using his or her insurance.

How does it help my church and its members?
It is part of our mission to provide Christian counseling services to area churches.
By directing members to counselors who value God's word, the gospel of Christ is made the centerpiece of each counseling relationship. And through the provision of educational seminars by Summit counselors, the emphasis is upon God's word and upon prevention.
