Jon E. Harris, M.A., LPC Director
Jon Harris received his training and master’s degree in counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Jon is a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator for premarital counseling and has been trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, a mode of therapy grounded in Adult Attachment Theory. Jon’s philosophy of therapy is integrative, meaning that he seeks to combine what he can learn from the field of counseling and psychology with a Biblical world view. Jon sees himself as a counselor serving hurting and disconnected people so that they may experience more wholeness and reconciliation in their relationship with self, others and with God. The main focus of Jon’s practice is working with adults and couples with a particular passion for marriages and men’s issues. Jon is married to Heather and they have 5 boys.

Darlene Bolinger Office Manager
Darlene is the Office Manager and responsible for operations for Summit Counseling Center. She enjoys her work and ministry and seeks to display Christ as the Supremely Valuable Treasure that He is! You will find her to be compassionate, informative and helpful. Darlene has been married to Jerry for 29 years and they have two beautiful daughters-both graduates from Union University- and two wonderful sons in law.

Jackie Huebner Client Services
Jackie is a true “people person” and enjoys greeting you upon your arrival at the center. You will find her to be a caring person who will attempt to make your waiting room experience pleasant. Jackie and her husband, Galen, have two grown sons, one grandson, and a granddaughter.

Lyn R. Owen, M.A., LPC
Lyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee. She is also a National Certified Counselor and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Her counseling practice includes working with pre-teens and adolescents struggling with anger and behavioral issues. She also counsels adults and couples and works with a wide range of issues including conflict resolution, trauma, abuse, domestic violence and mood disorders. Lyn and her husband, Skip, have four children and two grandchildren.

Susan L. Shipp, M.S. Licensed Professional Counselor
Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider in the state of Tennessee, holding a Master's in Counseling Psychology. She is a Board Certified Christian Sex Therapist, National Certified Counselor and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Susan is also a certified teacher of Active Parenting Classes. She and her husband, Garry, have three grown children and four grandchildren.

Salida Brooks, M.A. Counseling
Salida holds a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Liberty University. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and has experience treating adolescents and young adults dealing with depression and bipolar disorder, self-harming issues, anxiety, physical and sexual abuse, family and relationship struggles, low self-esteem, anger and aggression. Her passion is ministering to the hearts of hurting people through biblically based counseling. She is married to Craig and they have one daughter.

Laura Ward, M.A. Marriage & Family Therapy
Laura graduated from Richmont Graduate University with a specialization in Child & Adolescent Therapy. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families regarding a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, post-divorce adjustment, communication skills, healthy relationships, identity confusion, and spiritual struggles. Laura also uses her training and experience as a missionary kid to help missionaries, military personnel, and other highly mobile individuals with the complexities of cross-cultural living, as well as the challenges of reentry to the United States. She desires to provide these children, adults, and families the support they need to be successful both on and off the field.

Sue Kelley, M.A. Marriage & Family Therapy
Married over 30 years, Sue has two married daughters and six grandchildren. She has had extensive experience counseling women and their husbands or partners, offering education, support, and guidance as they struggle to make healthy decisions for living. Sue has her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently pursuing licensure in the State of Tennessee.

David E. Deardorff, Th.M., Ed.D., LPC
David’s education includes a theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and a doctorate in counseling and psychology from East Texas State University. He has been involved in counseling for over 30 years and has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in counseling related fields. David’s counseling focuses on marital issues with couples, grief and loss issues, men’s addictive and life development concerns, senior adult relationships and life adjustments, and spiritual formation—the journey to grow with God in one’s life. David and his wife, Linda, together have 7 children and 11 grandchildren.

Lauren Vaughan, Intern
Lauren is in her last year at Richmont Graduate University where she is pursuing her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a specialization in Christian Sex Therapy. Lauren believes that counseling is a privilege and a calling to walk with and encourage those who are facing life's challenges. Lauren's models of therapy include Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. Lauren's life motto is "take it one day at a time". When not at school or Summit Counseling, Lauren is gardening, reading, running or dancing.
